Company Profile
Our Team
We bring to each project a complete support team of project managers,
technicians, estimators, engineers, interior design consultants, field
superintendents, safety officers and construction supervisors as well
as full administrative personnel to ensure that both the pre-construction
and construction phases receive full attention through every step of the
construction process. We assemble each team based on the nature of the
project, allowing us to leverage our diverse strengths and experience
in order to ensure our clients access to the best talent available.
Company History
In 1969, Don Winkelman, Sr. and his sons founded Winkelman Enterprises.
In the beginning, the firm focused on offering quality General Contractor
services in the institutional sector of Central Minnesota. In 1983, Duane
Schultz and Keith Schupp purchased the family-owned business and established
Winkelman Building Corporation. Since then, WBC has built upon its solid
foundation of general contracting knowledge to become a premier full-service
commercial construction company offering full Construction Management
capabilities and leading the Design/Build industry across a number of
industries in public and private sectors throughout Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin
and the Dakotas.
Affiliations
We find the best way to remain abreast of continual changes in the nature
of commercial construction is to support a number of state and national
organizations that govern our industry. By affiliating ourselves closely
with the following organizations, often by means of holding leadership
positions within them, we keep our finger on the pulse of the commercial
construction industry.

Giving Back
Each year we contribute 5% of our pretax profit to charitable organizations
that have demonstrated a commitment to ensuring that our state remains
a great place to live and conduct business. It is our philosophy that
local businesses should support the very communities that make business
possible, and that we do our part to ensure this relationship remains
a symbiotic one. Often our contributions are in the form of donated time,
materials and expertise to community projects throughout Minnesota.
